Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Letter

April 29th, 2020

Carolyn Comitta

115 S. Brandywine St.

West Chester, PA 19382.

Dear Representative Comitta,

After careful consideration by The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenter’s leadership and its members from Local 164, we have decided to endorse you in your campaign for Senate District 19. Supporting campaign’s like yours is important to our union and our members as we look to advocate with you on issues that affect our union, the union families we represent, and all the workers in our community.

You are receiving the endorsement of our union because we share a common desire to protect worker’s rights in our region and the country. Making sure that working class families receive a fair wage, good benefits, and the safe working conditions they deserve seems like common sense, but you understand there are those who actively take steps to weaken workers’ rights. Their actions weaken our local standard of living and our communities as a whole. Our union looks forward to advocating for these rights with you as well as fighting against construction industry tax fraud, so-called right-to-work legislation, misclassification of workers, coerced labor, and more. By working with leaders like you we can protect fair standards and protect working families.

Congratulations on your selection and endorsement by the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters and Local 164. We look forward to a victory in June and November and continuing to work with you to better our community.

Sincerely,

William C. Sproule

Executive Secretary-Treasurer
