Marking the one-year anniversary of Libre’s Law

We recently marked the one-year anniversary of Act 10 of 2017 – more commonly known as Libre’s Law.

This legislation – which created tougher penalties for extreme abuse and neglect of animals, as well as tethering limitations – came about following the discovery of Libre, a Boston terrier who suffered severe neglect and starvation in Lancaster County.

The anniversary is a good time for a refresher on the law and other ways we can protect our pets. Here are some resources:
