Chester County – Today, Governor Wolf, State Senator Maria Collett, State Senator Tim Kearney, and State Senator Steve Santarsiero endorsed Representative Carolyn Comitta for State Senate.
“I’m proud to endorse Carolyn Comitta, a former educator, for the State Senate.” said Wolf. “Carolyn has been a champion for our children and she would work side-by-side with me to ensure that our children are receiving the education they deserve. In the Senate, Carolyn will fight for our children, working families, and our seniors.”
Representative Carolyn Comitta has deep roots in Senate District 19 – She graduated from Downingtown High School, taught in the Octorara Area School District for 12 years, and raised my family here. The former Mayor of West Chester, Carolyn flipped State House district 156 in 2016 from red to blue. In the State House Carolyn has fought to fully fund our schools, reduce gun violence, pass clean energy legislation, increase pipeline safety requirements, protect every woman’s right to choose, and put an end to partisan gerrymandering. Carolyn will bring that same passion and commitment to service to the State Senate.
In addition to Governor Wolf’s endorsement, Comitta received the endorsement of the Chester County Young Democrats in her bid for SD 19. “I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the Young Democrats. I appreciate all of their support!” said Comitta.
